There are several "Marriage Bonds" shown below - not many left!. These bonds were made out for members of the colonies introduced into Texas by Stephen F. Austin from 1822-1836. These marriages were legal; however, after 1836 in the days of the Republic of Texas, many couples remarried. This information was gathered from several sources - if the information differed in any way, all variations are shown; thus multiple data may show for an individual.
